President’s Corner – December, 2017
Since we don’t normally mail out a newsletter in December, I am sending out this note with a few areas of interest for everyone. First of all, our Christmas Dinner is scheduled for Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at Stroud’s Restaurant located at 135th & Antioch. This is the same place we held our dinner last year. I do apologize for the late notice but we had some issues getting this dinner scheduled. The cost will be $12.00 per person and I really need everyone to RSVP to me no later than Wednesday, December 6, 2017. I will collect your money the day of the luncheon. We will have our customary gift exchange and gifts should be valued around $15.00 and please designate whether the gift is generic, for a male or for a female. I hope everyone can attend and again my sincere apologies for the late notice. Second order of business is our club has decided to once again to enter the World of Wheels Auto Show scheduled for February 9 – 11, 2018. We will have eight spaces and three members have already agreed to enter. They are Dennis Pine, Steve Downing and John Parker. You will need to contact me if you are interested and then you will make application for the show online at the World of Wheels website. I hope we can fill the other five spaces! Please contact me soon if you are interested. Last order of business is to introduce the Camaro Club of Kansas City Board for 2018: Georgia Proctor, President John Cooling, Vice President/Membership Amber Dahl, Treasurer Jim Sharp, Newsletter Editor, Secretary Shari Pine/Dennis Pine, Events Coordinators Steve Downing, Camarofest Chairman Thanks to everyone who turned out for the November Meeting at The Pizza Ranch. Everyone in attendance enjoyed a great buffet and an event better social time. Nominations were taken and as you can see above, we have our Board Members in place for 2018. Shari & Dennis are already getting plans put together for next year and the Board plans on meeting soon to finalize some of those plans. I would like to extend all of the best from my family to all of you for a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Georgia
